Peaches and Rice

Baby FoodIt is quite a nice idea to add rice to a fruit puree. It will give it a bit more substance and the carbohydrates will give your baby energy for growth.

You could use white or brown rice, but white rice is much softer, so better for the early stage.
Ingredients:

1 cup water
1/2 cup short-grain white rice
4 peaches (washed, pitted, halved, and peeled)

Directions:

1. Boil rice in a saucepan until soft.

2. Steam or boil peaches until tender.

3. Mix with rice and blend to a soft consistency.

To Freeze: Spoon finished food into Wean Meister’s Freezer Pods. When food is frozen, remove Pods from tray and store in a resealable plastic freezer bag or freezer container. Label package with contents and date. Use within 1 month. Before serving, let thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
