Organic Baby Food Revolution

Organic food appears to be a revolution taking the world by storm.   After being organic ignorant for so long, people are now seeing the benefits of going back to their grass roots and having a deeper understanding and respect for the food they put into their bodies.  It is no surprise that people also want organic baby food for their babies too.  Some think it is even more important at this early stage.  After all the rate of growth and development in babies is vast and we should be trying to support this the best way we can, shouldn’t we?

This significant change in our way of thinking about what we put into our bodies has forced organic foods out of the health food shops and into everyday supermarkets as well.

For a long time organic baby food simply didn’t exist in the market.  This meant parents either made their own or give up on the idea.  This wasn’t ideal for the parents that realised their babies would be forced to eat toxins, pesticides, antibiotics, and genetically modified foods.

Still the organic baby food revolution took some time, and more research still before mass production  hit the markets in any significant numbers. Worse still, the price of getting organic baby food was just as bad as getting organic foods for yourself, and for your normal everyday family this was simply not an affordable alternative.

Although there is a growing trend towards buying organic baby food the problem still exists in that it is still not as readily available as it could be, and it still costs an arm and a leg to keep your baby in organic baby food.

Luckily with the tides turning more and more towards organic grassroots, there has also been a resurgence of making your own organic baby food. It’s not very difficult and in the long run, a few minutes spent in preparing your baby’s food in a healthy manner with organic foods can only be of benefit to your baby in the future.

So the savvy parents realise making your own organic baby food is really very straight forward.  If you make a big batch, you have your food for the week.  The ingredients you use are more than likely the ones you naturally put in your shopping trolley each week anyway.  If you are luck enough to have Wean Meister’s Freezer Pods.  The convenience couldn’t be easier.  your babies food will be frozen in perfect baby sized portions and the silicone material allows you to pop the frozen food out as easy as can be.
